Some people claim Jesus never said He was the Christ or the Son of God, so they question why we make that claim. But that perspective shows they haven’t truly read the Scriptures. In John 10, the Jews pressed Jesus: “If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” His answer was straightforward: “I already told you, but you refused to believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about Me.” Every miracle, every act of divine power, confirmed who He was.
Jesus Himself affirmed His deity, declaring, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30) and offering eternal life to those who believe in Him. He’s the true God in human flesh, coequal with the Father, the source of life, and the giver of eternal life. As you go into this study, prepare to see Jesus not as an ordinary man, but as the eternal God who loves you, sustains you, and gives you life that lasts forever.
